About West Kowloon Cultural District

The West Kowloon Cultural District is one of the largest an ambitious cultural projects in the world, blending art, education and public space across 40 hectares of reclaimed land overlooking Hong Kong’s iconic harbour. Our vision is to create a vibrant cultural quarter for Hong Kong where the local arts scene can interact, develop and collaborate. It will include a rich variety of arts and cultural facilities that will produce and host world-class exhibitions, performances and arts and cultural events. The Xiqu Centre, Freespace, the Art Park and M+ are already open to the public, with the Hong Kong Palace Museum and the Lyric Theatre Complex set to open in the next few years.

The West Kowloon Video Platform

In addition to our physical performances, exhibitions and events, West Kowloon continues to experiment with digital programming, presenting a wide variety of online content from complete performances, to interviews with artists, talks, workshops and behind the scenes documentaries. Through this video platform audiences can explore our most up-to-date online content and experience the West Kowloon Cultural District wherever they are.
